| How the idea began For several years I pondered over the meaning of life. Wondered if there was a larger meaning, than I was aware of! After twelve years of running my own company, I realized that the rules that governed the business world and the society in general, did not comply with mankind's natural need of harmony and freedom. Was it worth spending so much time and energy on running my own company? What was it we created and called society? What kind of development did mankind go through? What was the quality of life and happiness? I made a conscious choice to change my life and try to find the answers to these questions. Through selling my company I had the chance to study privately quantum physics, philosophy, psychology and esoteric, for three years. I wanted to create, for myself, a reliable concept to understand how human beings work and what is now necessary to change, to achieve real happiness and meaning in our lives. I shared my ideas and thoughts with other people and with their encouragement, on 6th April 1990 I initiated Enhet (in English Unity). Enhet is a movement for people who want to cooperate for a world in oneness and freedom. Our common mission is to develop Enhet’s visions through contributing to an attitude change in society and leading brand-new questions in politics. Enhet offers a fellowship to those who understand the problem: We cannot make fundamental changes in the world before we make changes in ourselves. Within Enhet we can encourage and support each other to develop greater love and harmony in our lives. We are all certain that a loving and harmonious society can only flourish with loving and harmonious individuals. And we all want to take part in creating and living in such a society. Ulf Wåhlström - initiator of Enhet Enhets foundation Many of us believe that today’s political and economical system doesn’t give any great hope for improved living conditions in the future. Economical degeneration, ecological exploitation, unemployment, the disbelief in politicians’ capacity to solve problems, conflicts between people, and yes even war is the result of how we feel inside us. Society’s condition and development level always reflects the condition and development level of individuals’. The external reality always reflects our inner reality.
During the 20th Century we have technologically improved our material life to an extent which now threatens to destroy our earth, the only survival resource we have. We have consumed our power to act on humane, rational and intellectual levels. This has cost us our inner life, where happiness, peace and harmony belong.
Within Enhet we believe that during the 21st Century, the society will evolve from a masculine way of thinking, to a more feminine and intuitional way of thinking, with more focus on the inner life. The problems we are facing today cannot only be solved by changes on the external level. Neither can the problems be solved by the same thinking process that creates the problems itself, as Einstein says. In other words, the solutions should come from a totally different approach.
Enhet is not a party that prefers change in a specific degree; Enhet is a party that prefers complete change or in other words differentia. It is very important to understand this difference. Change in a specific degree means finding concrete solutions to problems, within the already existing system or paradigm. This is nothing but continuing with the same thinking process, which has brought the human race to where it is now. On the other hand differentia means that everybody understands and takes the responsibility for the fact that every change begins within each one of us, and manifests itself on the outside as a result. Enhet acknowledges a spiritual power
The essence of Enhet is that we believe there is a wise and loving power in the core of every human being. There are many names for this power; for example, God, the soul, love, the conscious, the heart, the universe, intuition, higher self, the creative source, etc…Whatever we call it, it is the only source we, human beings, can use to make our lives better in all dimensions. It means a love for the other, an ethic and moral perspective which generates respect and care for all living things. This source of power should be used everywhere, in the same way it is used by artists, for example, and this means that it should also be used within economy or politics , if we want to reach somewhere. Enhet doesn’t advocate any religion, doctrine or psychological theory; instead we believe in and use this greater source, so that we can express love in our lives. We want to co-operate, not disconnect, with everything in the universe in a conscious, natural and meaningful way. Visions are important for development
With this power, our intuitive wisdom, we can reach the visions Enhet has set as its mission. We believe that visions are important for development. We need to know where we want to get to, to figure out which decisions we need to make, to get there. We also believe that when it comes to the most important social issues, deep down everybody dreams alike. Yet, no existing government has succeeded running our country towards such an enduring development. Has any of us at all thought about what is it that we want, or are we limited by the feeling that it is impossible to carry out changes within the lines we believe create our future? Attitude change is necessary
We are convinced that, to reach Enhet’s visions, an overall change in our attitudes is necessary. Everything merges into unity, and this holistic way of thinking should be achieved by all because it originates from a loving attitude for people’s needs and for the planet that embraces us. This attitude comes from the insight that we are all mutually dependent on each other and we cannot let each other act with short-sighted perspectives, where some parts of the whole benefit the other parts’ loss... This is valid for the economical and the ecological level as well as the emotional and the humanistic level. The way a society organizes basically depends on the attitudes and the moral values of its members, and also its politicians and businessmen. This is why Enhet sees the changing of attitudes as the most important of all tasks. Enhet’s aim in politics is to make all the people happy and healthy, to arouse the wish to enrich each others’ lives, to show the possibilities to make dreams come true, yes, all these and much more. This relies on our instincts on the human beings’ spiritual longing, which we want to awaken, share and nurture. We want people’s mandate to raise these questions in the parliament. We will write parliamentary bills, make decisions and cooperate in the parliament on the basis of this foundation and Enhet’s visions. Enhet - the spiritual political alternative
Enhet was founded as a political party on 6 April 1990. This means if you think and want like we do, you can express your choice in the coming elections. You can order ballot paper from our office or simply write Enhet on a blank ballot paper. We hope that our program of visions appeals to you, and that you would like to join us and support Enhet’s continuous work by spreading its visions in your own way. We also would like to welcome you as a member of Enhet. Visions of Enhet Enhet believes that visions are important for development. Every man and woman need to know where they want to be, and to figure out which decisions they need to make to get there. Below you can read the overall visions of Enhet. If you would like to know our explicit thoughts on each vision, we recommend you to read our “program of visions”. It is our fundamental document, and is about 48 pages long. On individual level we visualize - the largest amount of freedom, to form our lives as we wish, where we only are limited with others’ right with the same freedom
- creation of external freedom, through inner peace, where the work begins by healing ourselves so that we can heal the world
- cooperation with other people, beyond egoism and different interests
- a society where our spiritual needs are satisfied
On social level we visualize - an interest-, speculation –and inflation free society, which is grounded on people’s basic needs, and where money is used as means of changing goods and services
- Life salary - instead of different subsidies; which will be paid to people when they cannot work or alternatively "citizen-salary"
- a society which fosters human relations, local occupations, small-scale enterprises and the self maintenance of the country
- developed, cheap and environmental friendly communication systems, which make it easier for us to meet each other and be together
- meaningful occupations that support us and the society as a whole
- that we serve others with our jobs, instead of earning from others’ work
- prioritizing all human care such as childcare, handicap care, elderly care and healthcare
- a comprehensive education system that focuses on supporting people in becoming creative, intuitive and secure individuals who use their education for their and the society’s best
- a society free from drug abuse, criminality, violence and bully
- a Swedish committee that is based on individual election, where collaboration and unity, instead of power fight and different interests, prevails
On global level we visualize - a world where we live in harmony with nature and treat it as one of us, where we prioritize growth for life and ecology over one-sided economical growth
- a common ethical and moral ground which reconciles cultural, traditional, national, international and religious conflicts
- a world alliance which, democratically and in a united way, coordinates the global resources adapted to the people’s basic needs and creates ecological conditions for an enduring, safe and peaceful life on our planet
- a world parliament where we coordinate the earth’s resources according to the needs of humanity and create environmentally sustainable conditions for a lasting, secure and peaceful existence
If you close your eyes for a second and imagine how a harmoniously functioning society would we like, and if you do it without mixing personal values as to how realistic it would be, what do you see? Enhet offers you a fellowship that understands the problem. How the world outside looks like is a result of how we feel inside ourselves. We are definitely certain that a harmonious and loving society can be achieved by harmonious individuals. Enhet on the political level
Enhet questions the moral of the current political and economical system. That is why Enhet wants to contribute to the asking and investigations of totally new questions. Here are a few examples of those questions: - Does the current economical system support all the people or just a few?
- Do all people or a few benefit from the fact that the current economical system accepts and encourages tax avoidance, speculations in stock exchange and other monetary markets?
- What is the benefit of 8 hours work for all? What actually causes unemployment and if we have to live with it what should we do so that it becomes an asset for the society as well as the individual?
- What does “increasing growth” really mean and how does the pursuit of it effect natural resources?
- Why are people paid when they look after others’ children but not theirs?

The creation of a political organization that is based upon the recognition of human beings as immortal souls that are learning within a five-sensory learning environment is of species-wide significance. It is the first activity in the domain of political endeavor, so far as I know, that consciously strives to reflect the emerging perspective of the immortal soul. Understanding the difference between personality and soul, and the role of five-sensory experience in the evolution of immortal spirits, is central to understanding the nature of the new phase of evolution that humankind has entered. The old ways of relating and growing are no longer productiv. The ability to manipulate and control - external power - no longer serves our evolution. It now produces only violence and destruction. "Vote-for-me-and-this-is-what-I-will-do-for-you" is a form of politics that no longer reflects the inner aspirations of humankind, nor serves a useful purpose. Politics, like all human activities and the individuals that participate in them, is undergoing a profound transformation. Unity in Sweden is one of the first, and clearest, symbols of this process. This is a time for celebration. A new channel for the new energies of the new human species has been identified and established. The new politics of authentic power is being born.
